You can connect the device to the Platform by using one of our WolkConnectors open source libraries written in various languages (Arduino, C, C++, Java, Micro Python, Node-RED, Python, Zerynth). They can connect any IP-enabled device to WolkAbout IoT Platform, thus making it WolkAbout-aware if you can manage device firmware.
- On the Device Management screen, select the device you want to connect to the Platform
- New dialog will appear with device info (displaying all the information previously seen on the main page)
- Click on Show connectivity help
in the top right corner of the screen
- This will open the Connectivity Help sidebar
Connectivity sidebar has a listing of all the languages (Arduino, C, C++, Java, Micro Python, Node-RED, Python, Zerynth) mentioned above.
Click on the language you need and you will be taken to our GitHub page for that particular WolkConnector. WolkConnectors are open-source software libraries that are used to connect any IP-enabled device to WolkAbout IoT Platform making it WolkAbout-aware.
Note: Further steps towards connecting the device to the Platform need to be taken by a technically equipped individual.
