Charts module displays the history of reading(s) along with other details and is located in the main menu within the Visualisation and Monitoring application.
Charts initial screen displays:
- Name
- Reading type
- Feed(s)
- Period
- Creator
Create Charts
There are two types of charts you can create: Line Chart and Map Chart.
To create Line Charts:
- Go to the Charts screen
- Click the Add charts button
- Select Create new chart line
- Create new line chart dialog will open with details you have to enter in order to make chart
- Fill out the following information: Charts name, select Reading type, add Feed which data you would like to display and define Period of time for the chart
- You can choose feeds from multiple semantic groups which need to belong to the same reading type and unit (e.g. semantic group 1: temperature 1; semantic group 2: temperature 2…)
- Click Save
Note: You can choose up to 10 feeds.
A window will appear with details of the chart displayed on the screen and the readings of particular feed(s) represented in form of chart
Chart Details Screen
To see Chart in detail, select Details in the drop-down menu within Actions on the far right
Your chart will be displayed along with an aggregated reading(s) of selected feed(s)
If you hover the cursor over the small circle on the chart, it will display an aggregated reading of a feed at a specific time, as shown below.
You can set up a chart to display readings for today, yesterday, this week, last week and this month.
Custom option allows you to select a start and end date of the reading(s) you would like to be displayed.
Click the Download button to export and store the aggregated data in CSV file.
There is a zoom-in functionality added to the Charts module. You are able to set custom zoom by choosing a range within the timeline you would like to zoom in.
Zoom bar is set at the top of the screen and you can resize and move the zoom bar within that range, as shown below.
Map Chart
Map Chart displays start and end positions of user’s assets in a specified period. Assets with GPS have a tracking chart.
To create a map chart:
- Go to the Charts screen
- Click the Add new button
- Select Create New Map Chart
Create new chart dialog will appear where you can enter all the required information:
- Chart name
- Reading type
- Feed(s)
- Date
Note: You can choose up to 10 different location feeds.
- Click Create
- A window will appear displaying the map and marked location points
Click any of location marker to get the following information:
- Semantic group name
- Coordinates - latitude and longitude
- time and date of shipment at certain location marker
Start/finish - time and date of start and finish of the route for the selected date range/period
- Start point is marked with a location pin icon
- Endpoint is marked with a finish flag icon
Rename Chart
To rename chart click the Rename Chart button and enter a new Chart name.
You can do that also by clicking the Actions and within the drop-down menu select Rename
To save your new chart name, click Save.
Add Feeds
As mentioned above, you can add up to ten feeds. To add feed click the Actions and within the drop-down menu, select Add feed(s)
After the new window opens, select the feed you want from the autocomplete menu and click Save
Access List
To determine the access level for a specific user, go to the Actions and within the drop-down menu select Access list
Or, click the access list button and in new Add member text field add one or more user groups with whom you would like to share the chart you have created or have the access to
Note: You can add an infinite number of members.
- Access list displays chart access level and the name of the user who created it (Creator)
There are two access level: View and Modify
Download Chart
To export and store this data in CSV file, go to the Actions and within the drop-down menu select the Download button.

Note: You can add an infinite number of members.
Delete Charts
To delete a chart:
- Click the Actions and within the drop-down menu select Delete
- New dialog will appear asking you to confirm the action
- Click the Confirm button to do so
