Data Browser

Data Browser is the initial tab in the Data Semantics module. It enables you to view, search and actuate data within the semantic group they belong to.

Structure of the Semantic groups screen in the Data Browser tab reflects the structure of the Semantic groups screen in the Data semantics tab.

Attributes/feeds/actuators/alarms have real-time data displayed on the card, making them transparent and easily-accessible.

If any feed/alarm is in warning or alarm state, semantic group will have an appropriate graphic representation on the card.

Attribute displays semantic group’s static data.

Feed card displays feed name, time of the last update (the arrival of the latest reading), trend (rising, falling and steady) and a numerical value of real-time data, e.g. Humidity: 15%.

If you click on a card, it will display the same type of info as the one on Cards widget.

  • Details dialog will appear with the following content:

Title: feed name Last reading: date and time, value and unit

Measurement peaks for today:

  • Maximum - time, value and unit
  • Minimum - time, value and unit

  • Switch

In Data Browser tab, you can perform an actuation and switch the actuator device from one state to another by moving an indicator.
You will be required to confirm the action by clicking (tick) or abort it by clicking (x).

  • Slider (Count)

Data browser enables you to send a numerical actuation value from the actuator card in the Data Semantics module. The card displays: name, time and the value of the latest reading, and state (ready/busy).
You will be required to confirm the action by clicking (tick) or abort it by clicking (x).

  • String

Enables you to send a textual actuation value. The card displays: name, time, value of the last actuation and the state (ready/busy). If you hover over a text field, a screen with the full text command will appear. You can edit the text command by clicking on the field on the card. After you complete editing, click (tick).
To abort the text command, click (x).

You can download raw data for feed/actuator/alarm in CSV format.

To do so:

  • Click on the appropriate glyph on a card

  • New window will appear
  • Choose a date range (today’s date is preselected, by default)
  • Click the Download button to complete the action
  • Your file will be downloaded in csv format

Alarm State

(Sub)group card displays a number of feeds in warning and alarm state with the appropriate colour.

  • Two types of alarms can affect the (sub)group state:
  1. Device alarms, defined in the device template
  2. User defined alarms: rule engine alarms and feed thresholds

Note: Device alarms will activate only when triggered!

If warning and alarm states are reached for different feeds or hardware alarms at the same time, the (sub)group displays the colour with the following priority:

  1. Alarm (red)
  2. Warning (yellow)
