Data Thresholds

For each feed with a numeric type of data (e.g. temperature, pressure, humidity…) you can define high and low alarm thresholds. If the reading of the feed crosses the defined threshold, you will receive a message in the Messages module in the Platform. You are able to set thresholds in two different ways:

  • Right after you drag and drop the feed in the semantic group

  • Set the alarm as high and/or low
  • Type the message you would like to be displayed after the alarm is being triggered
  • Set its severity to alert, critical or error
  • Click Save
  • Hardware alarm of a feed you have set will appear in your semantic group

If you go to Edit data button which appears when you hover over the feed you would like to modify:

  • The same Create window will pop up
  • Enter all the necessary parameters
  • Click Save
  • Graphic representation of a threshold will appear on a feed

Note: You can set alarm thresholds only for numeric type of data i.e. only for feeds and not actuators.
